Everydub Style Inspiration
Elizabeth's owns Winifred's Wardrobe which is a knitwear business, recently she has designed stunning silk head scarves which I would love to share with all you. What I love about Elizabeth's designs is the realness and meaning in the inspiration that is behind her head scarf creations. The inspiration behind the project for the 'Land Girl Headscarf' (see below) was inspired by her code breaking grandma, Winifred. She was at Bletchly Park during WWII which is where they deciphered the Enigma Code. Elizabeth took to finding a way of creating discovery for the wearer, turning us all into code breakers...
When designs have a deeper meaning to how and why they were created its gives a much more personal feeling which creates more of an appeal to her designs. They are pretty floral headscarves but the innovation is that when the headscarf is folded in certain ways it reveals hidden images or part of a story. The Land Girl headscarf has repeat images of planes in the background and large floral motifs. Only when the scarf is folded can you see her face. If you fold in another direction you get a WWII plane.
