... But apparently in our married with children Dominican cleaning guy's eyes I'm a perfect 10!
So I walk into work today wearing a white button down shirt, arms rolled up, with a pair of LV navy black and brown tropical print shorts and my dad's vintage bally tasseled loafers. After I change into my uniform the cleaning guy approaches me and says (in horribly inflected spanish) "Mira que tu estilo es bien diferente — no malo pero bien fashion." So I kindly and dismissively reply "Gracias" and he continues to rave about my style "No porque tu te pones un camisa de vestir remangada y pantalones corto. Bien chulo que se te ve!". Again I reply "Muchas gracias" and proceed to walk away.
Now I didn't know if to be insulted bc he liked my style or to run to extreme makeover and change because he liked my style. Ay mama. Why is this what I pick up?!?!? Hijole!
