UNIFORM | Tomboy Style X Trident General StoreIn honor of Throwback Thursday, a internet institution I have only but dipped a single toe into, I am stoked to announce a collab I did with Trident General Store: The Tomboy Style X Trident T-Street tee ($28). Trident General Store creates simple staples (tees and hats mostly) named for Southern California beaches, but aesthetically they're inspired by the East Coast and specifically the iconic Nantucket oversand vehicle permit stickers where TGS founder Jill Burnham used to live. When Jill asked me to collaborate with TGS I quickly thought of one California beach: T-Street in San Clemente. I lived briefly in Southern California growing up and spent almost every weekend of those days at T-Street. I was a wetsuit-wearing grom with a sticker-covered Morey-Boogie board that was nearly as big as I was. We'd sit and watch the surfers, eat sandy burgers and bubblegum flavored sno-cones, and put pennys on the train tracks that run right up and down the beach. At the end of the day the sun would set like a egg yolk breaking into the Pacific. It was the greatest. The T-Street shirt ($28) is 100% cotton, long sleeved (perfect for sunset beach hangouts), and made here in the USA, in fact, I went with Jill last month to Deluxe Screen Printing in Downtown L.A. to see the first T-Street shirt being color-tested (a few pics below). All of my profits made from this shirt will be donated to The Surfrider Foundation.
