Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer 2013

Proenza Schouler is now a designer label that is an essential in every woman's wardrobe, with their unique and their take on futuristic feminine unsurpassed by most designers today. I didn't know what to expect after Proenza Schouler's outstanding Autumn/Winter collection, which undoubtedly sparked the oriental print and stiff silk trend amongst women, but this time they wowed fashion media with a collection combining the predicted trends of mesh, coloured leather panels and the comeback of chokers. Proenza Schouler never ceases to disappoint me with their collections, kudos to Jake McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez!Reed Krakoff Spring/Summer 2013

Vivienne Tam Spring/Summer 2013

Vivienne Tam's latest collection is by far my favourite of New York Fashion Week, and dare I say by comparing collections, Proenza Schouler should be on the run for their money! Vivienne's collection feature a barrage of dresses with geometric and 3D effect meshing and cutouts, all carefully placed, enhancing the mechanical beauty of the dresses themselves and diverts attention away from the revealing nature of the garments. Vivienne also manages to stay on trend with spaghetti strap dresses, the straps forming a symmetrical shape across the woman's chest, with blinding oranges and reds popping out throughout the garments and with metallic coats and jackets adding a masculine quality to the collection. I'm keen to see what lies next for this designer!Theysken's Theory Spring/Summer 2013

3.1 Phillip Lim Spring/Summer 2013

Phillip Lim has brought to women a collection that embodies the "FTW" attitude of street chic New Yorkers, somewhat drawing inspiration from the 1980s and the distinctive style of men and women alike in today's underground London hip hop and hipster scenes. The collection almost clashes with itself, but retains its wearability and intrigue, featuring clashes of floral and metallic, neon and neutral and leopard print with panelled denim. All I could say is, this collection would definitely be a hit amongst rebellious chicks who thrive on the latest trends in punk, urban and high fashion.Calvin Klein Spring/Summer 2013

Libertine Spring/Summer 2013

Libertine is one of the few labels that fuse artwear and menswear, allowing the eccentric and artistic male to express his true spirit through his clothing, without limitations. For this coming Spring/Summer season, Libertine have splashed bright fonts onto outerwear and button ups, geometric shapes onto shorts and suits, and pencil drawings onto sportswear, giving a range of options for the dandy male of today. All images courtesy of Fashionising
