Everydub Style Inspiration
I chose, Jane Gowan a Scottish-based jewelry designer. I thought because I'm a Edinburgh based fashion blogger I should do my first D.O.T.W featuring local talent to show some love to my creative surroundings! A little while ago I walked passed Vanilla Ink which is a jewelry studio in heart of Edinburgh and this is where I came across Jane's designs.
The deciding factor in choosing Jane Gowan's collection was because I thought that she really understood how to design jewelry that is striking by being simplistic and slightly complex in her shapes and finishes which you can easily see her limited edition, one of a kind Amethyst ring.
The whole purpose of starting the 'Designer of the Week' element to Love Affair With Fashion is because I have been thinking a lot about how there are so many designers from shoe designers to handbag designers who have such incredible talent and potential for great success but unfortunately the key point is exposure of that creative talent and this is never a easy or cheap task to pull off so I thought I would start a dedicated feature every Friday to give young and emerging global designers some extra exposure. The designers that I will be talking about will be designers that inspire me and all of you!
We all love to come across a designer who is doing something unique and lets be honest we all love to wear collections that not every girl out there is wearing!
If you are a designer and would like to be featured on one of my upcoming 'Designer of the Week' posts, please feel free to contact me on my email address (below) to introduce yourself, you are welcome to include images of your current collection.
