Flamer
Thanks to the cool people curating Swagger New York's Tumblr I found this first pic and then did some more exploring to find these National Geographic Photo Contest entries. The three images I chose are all characterized by a fiery symphony of crimson, strawberry and fire, shades which don't usually attract me.  But these piqued my interest and captured my carnival mentality.
Technicolor moss and vines overgrow an abandoned car.  The flaming cardinal hue is tempered with touches of copper and ochre tones underscored by hints of chartreuse. Lime dominates the bottom portion of the shot, flecked with earthy tones that provide low light to the glowing lime mass.

Grandma's sweet, tender hands stand hold the taut plumpness of this unnaturally shaped strawberry.  The clever composition of black, white and vermilion leads our focus to the central image of love.

Dead trees have shed the leaves creating a sea of flesh and blood.  Photoshop couldn't have created anything so natural.  It's like a page out of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale.  Bloody brilliant!
