Must Be Talking To An Angel
Annie Lennox performing at the Dolce and Gabbana show (Photo via Ethrill)

Good Morning, indeed!
I just woke up and was trolling Twitter to find numerous tweets about the SS11 Dolce and Gabbana men's show.  Now, I'm not a fan of Dolce's designs but I don't mind flipping through pictures of their soft core porn shows, replete with half naked men, chiseled pecs, exposed legs and more underwear than a laundromat.  But when tweets started to mention Annie Lennox singing at the show, I knew I'd have to watch.  So I clicked.
Inside the dark venue, a soaring classical music tune played, preparing the audience for a grand 20th anniversary extravaganza.  Thunderous applause erupted as the lights came up and the curtain parted to reveal Annie Lennox seated at a piano surrounded by an audience of chairs, clad in a larger than life Dolce tulle confection and baroquely ornate necklace.  Ms Lennox swept through a medley of "No More 'I Love You's'", "Why", "A Whiter Shade of Pale" and "There Must Be An Angel."  What a voice! At the end of the show, the horde of handsome, virile models (the song's "orchestra of angels") took their last walk dressed in impeccably tailored suits and returned to meet the charming, impish chanteuse at the end of the catwalk.  Some sat, some stood and all of them clapped along as she vocalized that she "must be talking to an angel," knowing full well she was talking about them ;) Thank you, Ms Lennox for a riveting performance.
Check out the show here. (The collection was neither exciting nor out of the ordinary for Dolce, though I did enjoy the prevalence of short shorts, which have my signature summer look since 2005.)
