Lagerfeld does it again: not only creating the designs but shooting them as well. This shot is my favorite. It stars Mirte Maas in a Mademoiselle bob, signature Chinese red and black spangles and a Chinese lantern-patterned dress. The collection is a seamless, yet uncliched mash up of Chanel icons and Chinese sophistication.
In this shot, we see Karl's useless and overexposed boy toy of the moment, Baptiste Giabiconi with Mirte dressed in a classic Paris-chic Chanel tweed jacket buttoned up in the style of the traditional Shanghai cheongsam — clever rather than cheeky.
