Fun Facts — Longest Wave On The PlanetFor those who love to surf this might be an interesting spot to visit. It's in Brazil and they call it the Pororoca, which means "great destructive noise" in Tupi. It supposedly destroys everything in its path with the speed of 15 to 25 km/h. Between February and March, Atlantic ocean tides generate waves up to 4 meters which travel inland upstream on the Amazon River and can last for over half an hour (more than 13 km in the same wave!!). The fun part is that there are so many consecutive waves that you can always catch the next one right away. As u can see the water looks pretty nasty and I´m guessing there´re piranas and gators in there but it would still be fun to see I´m sure!
